Grandeur of Angkor Temples

Detailed Itinerary

• Day 1: Arrive Siem Reap

  

  Arrive at Siem Reap and transfer to hotel.

  Afternoon gain an overview of Angkor Temples at the Angkor National Museum.

  Enjoy dinner with Apsara dance show, a must for any visitor to Siem Reap.

  Overnight in Siem Reap.

• Day 2: Siem Reap: Angkor Thom, Ta Prohm & Angkor Wat

  

  A full day to explore the most famous Angkor Temples.

  Morning starts with Southern Gate of Angkor Thom, Bayon, Baphuon, Terrace of Elephants, Terrace of Leper King. Continue to Ta Prohm, aka Tomb Raider Temple

  Afternoon is dedicated to the largest and most important temple of Angkor Wat.

  Overnight in Siem Reap.

• Day 3: Siem Reap – Banteay Chhmar

  

  Today drive further to the countryside to explore less visted temples.

  Visit Banteay Chhmar Temple which was built in same period with Angkor Thom. Take ox cart ride through the village to a silk workshop.

  Overnight at homestay in Banteay Chhmar.

• Day 4: Banteay Chhmar – Preah Vihear

  

  Continue travelling on remote road which runs paralel with the border with Thailand. Learn about dark history of Cambodia with visit to House of Tamok, a former Khmer Rouge leader. Change to pick-up vehicle to visit Preah Vihear Temple which is located atop a cliff of Dangrek Mountain and offers great view over Thailand.

  Overnight in Preah Vihear.

• Day 5: Preah Vihear – Koh Ker – Beng Mealea – Siem Reap

  

  On the way back to Siem Reap today visit the temple of Koh Ker which was recently inscribed on UNESCO World Heritage site list and Beng Mealea temple.

  Overnight in Siem Reap.

• Day 6: Siem Reap: Tree planting, Cooking class, Banteay Srei & Kbal Spean

  

  Join hands with an effort to support reforestation progress by planting a tree before cycling to a village for a hands-on cooking class with a family.

  Admire the pink sandstone carvings of Bantey Srei Temple before proceeding to Kbal Spean – the River of 1,000 Lingas, a riverbed featuring ancient stone carvings.

  Overnight in Siem Reap.

• Day 7: Siem Reap: Tonle Sap Lake

  

  Morning head out to Tonle Sap Lake for a boat ride through Kampong Khleang floating village.

  Afternoon is at leisure.

  Evening enjoy the famous Phare Circus show.

  Overnight in Siem Reap.

• Day 8: Siem Reap – Flight to Sihanoukville – Koh Rong

  

  Fly to Sihanoukville and take the ferry to Koh Rong Island.

  Overnight in Koh Rong.

• Day 9-10: Koh Rong

  

  Enjoy the sun, sand and sea of the island.

  Overnight in Koh Rong.

• Day 11: Koh Rong – Depart Phnom Penh

  

  Take the ferry back to Sihanouville and drive to Phnom Penh for your departure flight.
