Cambodia’s new v-Pass: A milestone in digital travel

Starting July 1, 2025, Cambodia officially implemented its new digital v-Pass system for all international arrivals and departures via airports and seaports. 

Replacing traditional ink stamps and QR slips, the v-Pass will be issued electronically upon entry and sent directly to travelers by email. It is part of Cambodia’s national effort to modernize administrative services and align with its digital economic strategy.

How to use your v-Pass

Foreign travelers can access their v-Pass via email, the official Cambodia e-Arrival website (arrival.gov.kh), or the Cambodia e-Arrival mobile app. Below is a quick guide to using your v-Pass:

Upon arrival

• Present your passport at immigration
• The immigration officer will process your entry
• Instead of a physical stamp, your v-Pass will be issued via email
• Ensure it is saved and easily accessible during your stay

During your stay

• You may be asked to show your v-Pass for verification
• You can display it on your mobile device or print it out
• Always respect the duration of stay indicated on your v-Pass

Upon departure

• Present your passport at departure immigration
• Your departure will be recorded in the system
• No physical exit stamp is needed
