ASIA DMC’s Charity Trip to Cho Cong village, Son La province

On October 19-20, ASIA DMC team embarked on a journey to Cho Cong village in Son La province to bring hope and support to those suffering from the aftermath of typhoon Yagi.

After the devastating supertyphoon Yagi, many communities in northern Vietnam are still struggling to pick up the pieces. One of the places that are badly affected is the remote Cho Cong village in Son La province, where multiple flash floods have left families in urgent need of help. Understanding the situation, our Help and Grow Foundation (HG Foundation) knew we had to step in.

During our trip to Cho Cong village, we aimed to assist those who have suffered immensely from the typhoon, and we were able to help 100 households with essential aids, including financial support, food, and warm clothing for the winter.

This was such an emotional experience for us. It was heartbreaking to witness the destruction left by Yagi while heading to the village. However, upon arrival, we were welcomed by the genuine smiles of the locals. We listened to their stories and were deeply inspired by their determination to rise above hardship and rebuild their lives. It was touching to see how our efforts could bring a little comfort to those who have faced so many challenges.

The purpose of this trip was more than just delivering aid; it highlighted the importance of community and the care we give to one another. There are always people in need around us, and we should contribute in any way we can. A little kindness goes a long way – not only does it make someone’s life easier, but it also brings joy to the givers.
