Marriot Opens ‘The Surawongse’ Hotel in Bangkok

The five-star hotel is located on Surawongse Road, traditionally known as a ‘heritage destination’ with easy access to cultural attractions such as Neilson Hays Library, Bangkokian Museum and the Sri Maha Mariamman Temple.

However, with galleries like the Rotunda and hipster hangouts like ‘The 88’ on Surawong springing up, it has also developed a thriving social and art scene.

The 32-storey building has 303 rooms, featuring deluxe guestrooms including presidential suites and extended stay apartments with one, two or three bedrooms. All guestrooms and apartments are completed with contemporary lines reflecting Marriott’s modern design concept.

Featuring 1,555 sqm of event space, two ballrooms, nine meeting rooms, a colonial-style courtyard and an outdoor garden, all backed up by an events team comprised of photographer’s audio-visual technicians, carpenters and decorators, it has an infrastructure which will satisfy even the most demanding of event planners.
